ABLE CHILD MODEL SCHOOL OBEHIE WINS THE UKWA WEST L.G.A. MAIDEN QUIZ COMPETITION PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY PROGRESSIVE ABIA YOUTHS.

On the 25th of November 2022, Progressive Abia Youths in Ukwa West Local Government Area, held the grand finale of her maiden quiz competition at Central School Obehie.

Indeed, intellect is emboldened in the ability to learn and reason, as well as the capacity to embrace knowledge, understanding and problem solving.The students displayed passion for academic and intellectual advancement but in every competition there must be a winner.

Among many schools that participated in the highly contested competition, Whitefield Academy, Umuiku Isi Asa emerged Second runner up, Ozar Community Secondary School umuadienwe emerged first runner up while, Able Child Model School, Obehie emerged the winner of the quiz competition. The students were gifted writing materials, School Bags, certificate of participation and cash prizes.

The Coordinator, Progressive Abia Youths Ukwa West Chapter, Comr. KENNETH NWANKWO in his closing remarks, thanked the various schools for their boldness and confidence in accepting the challenge to throw their hats into the ring of intellectual competition. He also thanked the State executives, the teachers and students of the various schools for coming through. This quiz competition is sustainably designed to enable Ukwa West students know their weaknesses and buckle up, he added.

Speaking at the event, The President General of Progressive Abia Youths MR EKEJUIBA DABERECHI KINGSLEY elaborated on the need for education to be prioritized for a better and secured future for Nigeria. He encouraged the students to tell their Parents and Guardians to vote in the right candidates into power come 2023.

IN His Words “Dear Students, the journey to select those who will shape your future and the future of our country has started. 2023 is another election year and we want you to be aware, to know what is at stake. I charge you to work hard and be the best person you can be but above all, pay attention to what is happening around you. Children play crucial roles in the lives of their parents and today, I charge you to demonstrate that influence by speaking to your parents and guardians. When you get home today, tell them that your future is at stake in 2023. Tell them not to sell their votes to the bad leaders. Tell them to come out and vote to give you a better country. Furthermore, he applauded the students for their brilliant performances and advised that they should not relent but increase the tempo.
