who we are
About us
We empower and nurture the next generation of leaders, raising unconventional youths who are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and passion to transform good thoughts into democratic actions. Through inclusive leadership, democratic programs and advocacy, we inspire young individuals to actively promote and uphold democratic ideals, fostering a society where their voices are valued, and where they play a significant role in shaping a progressive and equitable future.
Our values and directional principles are centered on inclusion, fairness, equal representation, character, transparency, hardwork, patriotism, unity and love.
OVERVIEW OF PROGRESSIVE ABIA YOUTHS
Abia State as a developing state has endured years of political bondage, clan discrimination, insincere leadership and huge misappropriation of public funds. Amongst the southeastern states of the federal republic, Abia ranks lowest thanks to poor leadership. This reality births a need; the need for Abia youths to stand up, stand firm and decide what works for them, to preach the development of Abia first irrespective of religious, political and clanish/regional affiliations.
It is against this backdrop that the duo, Progressive Abia Youths and Abia Youths Charter of Development was formed to chart a new course and usher in a system that works, one that satisfies the needs of today’s generation.
